Theming - A party theme really adds that special touch to a childrens party. A theme can add inspiration to decorations ideas, why not add themed tableware and send out themed invitations.
Volunteers - Why not get volunteers to help out with some activities like:
- Face painting
- Lucky dips
- Balloon modelling (books can teach you all you need)
Catering - Cold food is the easiest and cheapest option. Try to avoid nuts and offer vegetarian option. Offer old favourites like:
- Iced Fairy Cakes
- Sandwiches
- Crisps
Provide drinks for the children in an easily disposable way. Venues often offer catering but this is not always the most cost effective option. It is worth asking if you can book the venue on a dry hire basis and bring your own food in.
Venue - When choosing a venue remember to ask for the size in terms of seating and not standing room as childrens parties require children to move about and room for rides may be required. |
